History
Pamela Denchfield started the Duvall Writing Group at the Duvall Library in early 2013.
Co-facilitators: Sandi & Pamela
The group is currently co-facilitated by Sandi Ivey and Pamela Denchfield.
Sandi Ivey is a local artist, writer, poet and storyteller. She is co-founder of the Duvall Art Salon, a monthly gathering that supports and encourages writers, performers and artists in all mediums. Co-founder of 'The I Come From...' Project : Tales from the Trail. A community storytelling event in Duvall, WA.
Pamela Denchfield is an aspiring memoirist and sometime poet. Pamela has been employed as a technical writer since 1997, and she has experimented with memoir and poetry for almost as long. Pamela has participated in a couple of really wonderful critique groups that included published and not-yet-published writers of all genres (fiction, nonfiction, children's literature, romance, etc.). You can often find Pamela at local poetry open mics, such as those hosted by Duvall Poetry and Redmond Association of the SPokenword (RASP).
- We start with brief introductions so we can get to know each other and our current writing projects.
- Facilitiators bring (optional) prompts to write to.
- We'll share our work as time allows. (Passing is always an option!)
